    Personal Feedback
You showed that you had reflected deeply on both your current teaching practice and your future professional development. We were particularly impressed that you had thought about what was required of an academic in a modern university (teacher, researcher, income generator etc) and where your particular skills and interests lay in relation to this. It was particularly heartening that you had come to the conclusion that your future direction should lie in teaching, learning and programme development. You showed a strong awareness of inclusive teaching, and being able to adapt your style to meet needs that different groups of students may have – even when this does not align with your own personal teaching preferences. We were impressed that your action plan included a PDP meeting set up with your manager where you will be able to discuss your teaching and learning aspirations and – hopefully – work with your manager to develop your role accordingly.

    Standardised Feedback
Criteria 1: Competence and engagement within an area(s) of relevance to the module (and, as appropriate, to the UK Professional Standards Framework)
pass (good) – You demonstrated a good level of competence in areas that are relevant to the module. There is evidence of comprehensive engagement with appropriate aspects of the areas of activity, core knowledge and values of the UK PSF.

Criteria 3: Reflection on your learning and the development of your practice
pass (good) – Your reflections are a mix of surface (i.e. tends towards descriptive) and deep levels of reflection. There is evidence of self-analysis and learning during the module. You provided an action plan with some specific details. Some clear links between plan and reflection are evident.

Sorry for the delay in giving you feedback. I have sent Moira McLoughlin (the other panelist) a link to this page as she may want to edit or modify my comments, best wishes, Peter Whitton
